Compact Champions Workshop - Leeds
24 Jun 2009
10.00am - 1.00pm
One of six FREE regional workshops exploring the important role of Compact Champions. BOOK NOW!
Compact Champions improve the performance of Local Compacts and help achieve better outcomes for individuals and communities. But how do you recruit, train and ensure that your Champions have the necessary skills and approaches to achieve this?
This is a key question for organisations responsible for Compact implementation and Compact Champions, and the Institute of Voluntary Action Research (IVAR) has examined this question.
The workshops are organised by the Commission for the Compact and Compact Voice, the independent body which represents the voluntary and community sector on taking forward the Compact.
This series of workshops gives an opportunity to hear about the findings of this research and best practice on how to make Champions work for your Local Compact - whether you are an existing Champion, an organisation considering appointing Champions or an interested Local Compact partner. The workshops also offer an opportunity to air your views on how Champions should be supported in the future.
