Research into the costs and benefits of involving volunteers from currently under-represented groups - Open

Description: The Commission for the Compact wishes to commission an investigation into the costs and benefits of engaging volunteers from under-represented groups, with a view to providing guidance on how best to support the involvement of such groups, and with a particular emphasis on establishing an appropriate formula for calculating the full cost of that involvement. This is in line with the provisions of section 4.4 and 5.3 of the Compact Code of Good Practice on Volunteering (“the Volunteering Code”). A copy of this document is available here.

Invitation to Tender for Hospice Research - Closed

Description: The Commission for the Compact is working with Help the Hospices to commission a piece of work into the funding of palliative care. The work will take the form of a series of case studies looking at the implementation of the Compact in relationships between Primary Care Trusts and hospices.
