Compact Voice

Compact Voice is an independent body representing the voluntary and community sector on taking forward the Compact.

It is chaired by Simon Blake (Chief Executive of Brook) and it is made up of an autonomous alliance of leading voluntary sector infrastructure organisations with national, regional and local reach, and who together play a representational role in engaging with Government and the Commissioner for the Compact on Compact issues.

Compact Voice supports two networks:

  • Local Compact Voice Network represents and supports voluntary sector organisations that want to use their Local Compact. The network enables members to draw on knowledge, experience and problem solving and to influence national policy on issues that affect local relationships. Join over 500 people across England interested in implementing their Local Compact by e-mailing your contact details to: Paul.Barasi@compactvoice.org.uk

  • National Compact Voice Network is a network for voluntary organistions that work with national government to share experiences and exchange best practice. The network hosts an online discussion forum and provides regular news updates and information. It also has sections for those with specific areas of interest and expertise. Join here.

  • Friends of Local Compact Voice Network is for people from the public sector who wish to share knowledge with others working on the Compact in their area. Join here.

Compact Voice previously ran the Sector Independence campaign “It’s Our Shout” until Christmas 2008. Download the Independence Day National Pack and Independence Day Local Pack.
