The Commission for the Compact is looking for a dynamic and energetic Research Officer to provide professional research expertise to the organisation.

The Commission for the Compact is an independent organisation set up to oversee the relationship between government and the voluntary and community sector. Its functions include building evidence, influencing policy and sharing good practice in order to achieve better implementation of the Compact. The Compact is the agreement between government and the voluntary and community sector to improve their relationship for mutual advantage and community gain.

You will play a central role identifying the Commission’s need for information, conducting and commissioning research studies and thematic reviews. The Research Officer will also oversee the creation and maintenance of a centralised knowledge database.

You should be educated to degree level with a strong background in professional research and a broad knowledge of social research methods and experience of their application.

In return we offer a salary of up to £30,000, flexible working and 25 days holiday.
